About the Model

A Ready-Made 1:87 / HO scale Artitec US M3 CFV Bradley in forest green finish. This detailed model represents the cavalry fighting vehicle version of the Bradley, finished in a clean but field-used U.S. Army green appearance with realistic weathering and hand-painted detail. The model features the Bradley’s distinctive two-man turret, 25 mm cannon, TOW missile launcher, open hatch detail, antennas, rear ramp area, side armor panels, road wheels, tracks, tools, and exterior stowage.

The forest green finish gives this Bradley a classic U.S. Army and NATO-era appearance, with subtle dusting, panel-line definition, edge highlights, darker running gear, and rust-toned track effects. Small painted markings, exterior equipment, and the detailed turret layout help distinguish it as an M3 Cavalry Fighting Vehicle, making it especially suitable for armored cavalry, reconnaissance, Cold War, NATO, woodland, and European theater displays.

About the Real Thing

The M3 CFV Bradley, or Cavalry Fighting Vehicle, is the reconnaissance and scout version of the Bradley Fighting Vehicle family. Developed for the U.S. Army and introduced during the 1980s, the M3 was designed to support armored cavalry units by combining mobility, protection, surveillance capability, and heavy firepower in one tracked vehicle.

While closely related to the M2 Infantry Fighting Vehicle, the M3 is configured for cavalry and reconnaissance missions rather than carrying a full infantry squad. It typically carries a smaller scout team and additional ammunition and equipment, allowing it to operate ahead of or alongside armored formations during screening, security, and battlefield reconnaissance missions.

The M3 Bradley is armed with the 25mm M242 Bushmaster chain gun, a coaxial 7.62mm machine gun, and a TOW anti-tank missile launcher. This combination gives it the ability to engage infantry, light armored vehicles, fortified positions, and heavier armored threats at longer range. Its tracked chassis allows it to keep pace with tanks and other armored vehicles across difficult terrain.

Bradley vehicles have served in numerous U.S. military operations, including the Persian Gulf War and the Iraq War. The M3 CFV remains an important example of the U.S. Army’s emphasis on armored reconnaissance, giving cavalry units the ability to observe, fight, and survive in high-threat battlefield environments.

About Artitec Read-Made

Artitec’s ready-made models are authentically handcrafted, made from high-end resin. Each model is pre-assembled, painted by hand, and often subtly weathered to create a realistically aged look and feel. Models are unique collectables, manufactured in limited production runs.

  • Artitec models are made using plastic (resin) casting technique, under vacuum conditions. This allows for finer, to-scale details, unachievable by other methods. Small details are added by using etched brass parts.
  • These ready-made models are pre-assembled by experts. Assembling model kits can be time consuming and require significant effort to achieve high quality results.
  • Models are hand painted by disciplined artists. Painting and weathering models is not a quick activity, and requires years of refined skill. Perfect for customers looking for realism without the time commitment.
