Model Overview

This ready-made Artitec model reproduces a German Bundeswehr Puma Schützenpanzer in NATO three-color camouflage. The vehicle features its compact remote-controlled turret with a long 30 mm autocannon, prominent optical and sensor equipment, layered modular armor, full side skirts, and protective slat armor around the rear hull. The green, brown, and black finish is lightly weathered while retaining the crisp appearance of a modern operational vehicle.

Fine exterior details include dual radio antennas, roof hatches, mirrors, tow cables, engine-deck grilles, rear hull fittings, and a fully reproduced six-road-wheel tracked chassis. Bundeswehr crosses, turret number 412, registration markings, small warning labels, and distinctive red-and-white warning panels give this particular model a specific in-service identity.

Vehicle History

The Puma is a modern German infantry fighting vehicle developed to replace the long-serving Marder in Bundeswehr Panzergrenadier units. It carries a crew of three and six dismounting infantry soldiers within a heavily protected hull. Its unmanned, remote-controlled turret mounts a stabilized 30 mm MK30-2/ABM autocannon with coaxial secondary armament, allowing the crew to engage targets accurately while moving and remain protected inside the vehicle.

Designed around firepower, protection, mobility, and battlefield networking, the Puma uses modular armor, advanced observation systems, and protective features that can include reactive and slat armor. Its 1,088-horsepower diesel engine provides a maximum road speed of approximately 70 km/h, while integrated digital systems connect the vehicle crew with dismounted Panzergrenadiers and other battlefield units.

About Artitec Ready-Made Models

Artitec's Ready-Made models are handcrafted from high-quality resin and produced in limited runs. Each model is expertly preassembled, hand-painted, and often subtly weathered to recreate the appearance of a real vehicle in use. Because every model is finished by hand, small variations may occur, making each piece unique.

Artitec uses vacuum-cast resin to reproduce exceptionally fine, true-to-scale details that can be difficult to achieve with conventional manufacturing methods. Etched-brass parts are added where appropriate to capture delicate components and further enhance realism.

Each model is assembled, painted, and weathered by skilled specialists—a process requiring considerable time, precision, and experience. Artitec Ready-Made models are ideal for collectors seeking exceptional detail and realism without the time and effort required to build and finish a model kit.
