This ready-made Artitec model reproduces a Ford Model AA police patrol van in an all-black finish. Vehicle History

The Ford Model AA was the heavier-duty truck counterpart to the Ford Model A automobile. It used a longer wheelbase, stronger frame, and sturdier chassis components so it could support commercial and municipal bodies beyond those suitable for a passenger car.

Model AA chassis were adapted for numerous purposes, including panel trucks, buses, ambulances, delivery vehicles, and other specialized municipal applications. Their simple construction, durable running gear, and adaptable chassis made them suitable for police and emergency-service bodies during the late 1920s and early 1930s.
