Model Overview

This ready-made Artitec model reproduces a Ford Model A Roadster with its folding soft top raised. The vehicle features an olive green body, contrasting black fenders and running boards, black seating, and detailed wire wheels.

The model also recreates the two-seat open passenger body, upright windshield, radiator surround, headlights, front and rear bumpers, rear-mounted spare wheel, license plates, door handles, and fitted fabric roof. Fine body lines, carefully reproduced trim, and subtly aged surfaces give the car a convincing early-1930s appearance.

Vehicle History

The Ford Model A replaced the Model T for the 1928 model year and remained in production through 1931. It introduced more conventional controls, improved braking, and a wide range of passenger and commercial body styles.

The Roadster was a two-seat open body with a folding fabric top and a compact passenger compartment. Unlike the four-door Phaeton, the Roadster used a shorter two-door body designed primarily for the driver and one passenger.

Ford Model A Roadsters became popular for everyday motoring and recreational driving. Their simple mechanical construction and relatively light open bodies also made them popular foundations for later customization and hot-rodding.

About Artitec Ready-Made Models

Artitec's Ready-Made models are handcrafted from high-quality resin and produced in limited runs. Each model is expertly preassembled, hand-painted, and often subtly weathered to recreate the appearance of a real vehicle in use. Because every model is finished by hand, small variations may occur, making each piece unique.

Artitec uses vacuum-cast resin to reproduce exceptionally fine, true-to-scale details that can be difficult to achieve with conventional manufacturing methods. Etched-brass parts are added where appropriate to capture delicate components and further enhance realism.

Each model is assembled, painted, and weathered by skilled specialists—a process requiring considerable time, precision, and experience. Artitec Ready-Made models are ideal for collectors seeking exceptional detail and realism without the time and effort required to build and finish a model kit.
